Welcome to the Croak technology preview! Croak is an initial (somewhat crippled) implementation of the CROquet Architecture Kernel. Its purpose is to bootstrap a very powerful system for describing software architectures (amongst which will be the 'real' implementation of Croak). It is the second 'stepping stone' along the path to Paradise. The first 'stepping stone' is a simplified Croak compiler that allows Croak to be written in itself (and is included within this release for your bootstrapping pleasure). Note that this is a technology preview: if you can figure out how to use it, great! If not, you are pretty much on your own. No support of any kind will be provided, and we reserve the right to change absolutely anything at any time with neither warning nor justification. Finally, we apologise for not being able to include a few really useful things that we rely on heavily in-house for Croak development (such as an Emacs mode with pretty colours and highlighting) because they are infected with a particularly malicious virus called "GPL". (The only thing worse than a closed-source license is an "open-source" license that first significantly restricts your rights to use some given software any way you want, then proceeds to infect mercilessly every other program that you adapt to work with that software.)
